DRAFT — a hub page linking to 6 individual ride write-ups below, each with its own real GPS route map and stats.

Switzerland · Canton Bern · Home Turf

Not a destination — the base everything else on this site is measured against. More rides logged from here than everywhere else on Gravel Health put together.

Bargen, in Canton Bern, is where these rides actually start and finish — not a place visited once and written up, but the loop done over and over across more than a decade. Roughly 560 rides geo-match to this immediate area alone, more than every other page on this site combined, spanning back to at least 2011 and still going in 2025. Six of those rides are written up properly below, each with its own real GPS track, distance and climbing — the rest of the archive is still to come.

The scale of it (from Strava): ~489 rides cluster tightly around Bargen itself, with a further ~70 spread across nearby villages — Landeron (21) and Lignières (9) now built as their own page, and more still to come. 91+ real photos exist across this area alone in the export.

📝 Kevin — needs your input

  • Landeron and Lignières are now built (see the card above) — which other specific rides from this area are worth their own page next? A different Lake Biel loop?
  • Restaurant name for the pizza photo?
