DRAFT — awaiting Kevin's confirm-notes below before publish. Part of the Home Turf area.

Switzerland · Jura · Canton Bern

The ridge that gives away three lakes at once — the biggest single day out from home turf.

Ridden 20 August 2018 — out from Bargen and up onto the Chasseral ridge, the high point of the whole Jura range above the Bern lakes. The transmission tower at the summit is unmissable, and on a clear day the view takes in Lake Biel, Lake Neuchâtel and Lake Murten all at once.

Route data (from Strava): 101.4km, 1,451m of climbing, max grade 18.4% — the longest and highest of the home-turf rides on this site so far.

The route, from Kevin's own GPS track

  • Confirm the exact loop/roads used, if worth naming specific villages passed through
  • Any food/coffee stop on this one?
