DRAFT — awaiting Kevin's confirm-notes below before publish. Part of UK Home Turf — the home loop near Alloa.

Scotland · Clackmannanshire · Stirling

A loop down through Bannockburn and back along the Forth, chasing new roads on Wandrer.earth.

Ridden 21 April 2023, logged simply: "Another great ride on the gravel roads on Scotland." The description also carries a Wandrer.earth stamp — "27.33 new kilometers" — the app that tracks every road you've never ridden before, and clearly part of why this route was chosen: a loop specifically built to bank new roads rather than repeat the usual training circuit.

Route data (from Strava): 47.3km, 256m of climbing, max grade 22.8% — a low-climbing loop by this site's standards, more about covering new ground than gaining height.

The route, from Kevin's own GPS track

No photos survive from this one — the only images from the surrounding days are unrelated household shots (a utility meter, some plumbing), not anything from the ride itself. Rather than pad the page out, this stays a short, honest stats-and-map page, same treatment as Bicester & Woodstock.

📝 Kevin — needs your input

  • Is Wandrer.earth still something you use regularly — worth a proper mention/link elsewhere on the site for anyone else chasing new roads?
  • Any specific memory of this ride worth adding, or is the Strava note the whole story?
  • Which other Wandrer.earth "new roads" rides from the home area are worth their own page next?
